Meet Ebony Jones – Founder of Ebony Elevate Beauty School

I’m Ebony Jones, a licensed cosmetology instructor, Bellami Pro Extension Specialist, and proud founder of Ebony Elevate Beauty School—where quality, professionalism, and top-tier cosmetology education come first.

My journey in the beauty industry began at just 13 years old, practicing on friends and family. At 16, I enrolled in Saginaw Beauty Academy through SCC, but after not earning enough hours in high school, I completed my training seven years later at Insessions Arts of Cosmetology in 2008. Wanting to expand my expertise beyond hairstyling, I earned an associate degree in Business Cosmetology Management, equipping me with the skills to blend beauty and business successfully.

Over the years, I developed a deep passion for teaching and mentorship. I pursued my instructor license after witnessing a decline in professionalism within the beauty industry. I knew I had to take action, which led me to establish Ebony Elevate Beauty School—a space dedicated to restoring quality, professionalism, and advanced education for the next generation of beauty professionals.

At Ebony Elevate, students don’t just learn to pass the state board—they gain the skills, confidence, and business knowledge to thrive in today’s evolving beauty industry. My goal is to provide a supportive and hands-on learning environment, ensuring every student receives the education, mentorship, and real-world experience they need to build a successful career.
